Until now Foreign Currency Remeasurement has only been available for Receivables, Payables and Cash. Therefore only the debtors, creditors and bank accounts could be remeasured. Companies who are subject to a lot of exchange rate fluctuations might have encountered problems with getting the right balance sheet amounts, for example for the General Ledger Accounts that have Other Assets or Other Liabilities as the Account Type.
Until now, because SAP has added the availability to remeasure the General Ledger Accounts based on fluctuating exchange rates. This means that also the Other Assets and Other Liabilities can now also be remeasured. In this way companies can keep even better up to date with their current balance sheet values.
The SAP Business ByDesign Enterprise Search is now enhanced to fetch results from the Help Topics, Company-Specific Help, Community, Knowledge Base Articles, and Google (if Google search integration is enabled). The existing All Categories search results are now part of Business Documents, and this functionality stays as it is. The search criteria, such as Analytics, Business, and People are only relevant for Business Documents and don’t affect the results from the other categories. The enterprise search fetches the results under the All Categories tab, and if you scroll down you can view the relevant documents under different categories. The search fetches the first three results (if available) for each category under All Categories. You can go to each category tab and see the results from that category only.
For the Enterprise Search to fetch results from Google, you must have integrated Google Search in your solution. Currently, Google provides 100 search queries per day for free.
Leads as Follow-Ups of Business Card Scanning Interactions
You can now create Leads as follow-ups of your business card scanning interactions. Once you’ve scanned your business card and extracted the information, you can create a lead from it by clicking the Follow-Up button and selecting the option, Lead. The interaction gets converted to a lead and the extracted information, such as the name and address, is reflected for the lead. The business card scanned also appears as an attachment to your lead.
